The Dream is Over for Big Russ
Unfortunately, Big Russ will not be present in the FF2k4 playoffs. It was apparent before the turkey was served on Thursday - Brandon Friggin' Stokely just had to grab three 1st half touchdowns. You would have thought that with Peyton Manning's six touchdown game, there would have been some action for Reggie Wayne. No. Wayne got nothing.

The Drunken Punks, on the other hand, had a decent week - winning by 60 points - not bad! The win has put Roecker in the playoffs (congratulations - I hope you choke on it!)

Fast Eddie: 1st Playoff Appearance?
This weekend's victory over the LZ Historians placed Fast Eddie on the brink of playoff contention. With a week 13 win, and a G-Man loss, Fast Eddie will enter the playoffs for the first time. While not favored, Fast Eddie will provide the crucial round one fodder for this year's post-season.

Even with the loss, LZ Historians will enter the playoffs in the Orange Division. The week 13 game against the Ball Busters will be a nice warm-up. Feel free to use it for practice.

Diplomat Crushed by Kobras
What a performance! The Kama Sutra Kobras annihilated the Long Eared Loungers this weekend, 137 to 45. Leave it to Peyton Manning, 45 points on six touchdowns (none to Reggie). Let's not forget about last night's Isaac Bruce performance (21 more points). The one thing I can't figure-out: why didn't you start the Dallas defense against the Bears? Chicago has the 31st ranked offense in the league (probable 32nd now). You could have squeezed 8 more points out of this one, and really humiliated the Loungers. Either way, there's a crisp new $5 bill in this one for you...

Talk about humiliation! Only 45 points - securing the worst score of the week, and being forced to provide the crisp $5 bill for the Kobras. If you look at the box score, you'd notice that the Loungers really had no place to go. How are you going to beat Peyton Manning anyway? The loss removed the Loungers from playoff contention. All that's left is the pride - not to be LAST place. You must win in week 13, and Big Russ must lose. You will lose the tie-breaker because of the division record. Here's the other carrot: a week 13 win may knock Fast Eddie from the playoffs, thus dashing his hopes for yet another season. Once you're out of contention, there's nothing better than being the spoiler!

Wheeler Secures 1st Place in the Orange Division
As the hated owner of the Smokin' Bonecrushers, Dave Wheeler secured first place in the Orange Division and a week 14 bye. The LZ Historians will battle the Trunk Monkeys for the honor of knocking Wheeler off the mountain. In addition to the bye week, Wheeler has also guaranteed at last $50 for himself. Dammit - he played for free the season!

The Ball Busters lost all hope of a post season with the humiliating loss in week 12. Rich lost by 63 points, and there just isn't that kind of slack on the bench he might have started. So, maybe it was fate that you will ride the pine for the post season this year. I suppose there's always next year - that's what I have been telling myself as well...

Monkeys Lose Again (5 in a row)
The Trunk Monkeys did what they were supposed to do, in my opinion: lose. Not only did the Trunk Monkeys lose, but they lost to G-Man's Army of Darkness. Even with the loss, the Trunk Monkeys will be in the playoffs - due to Daunte-like performance from Daunte Culpepper earler in the season. The recent Daunte slump is directly reflected in the 0-5 record over the last five games. You better hope he finds his groove again soon, or Wheeler will make you his bitch - a fate worse than death (I have already assumed you'll beat the Historians).

With the win, G-Man has re-kindled a playoff hope. A week 13 win and a week 13 Fast Eddie loss will send you to the post-season. So, you do have a hand in your own destiny. What's it worth to you? You play Big Russ in week 13, and this is my chance to exact revenge for Friggin' Torry Holt. But, it would be nice to keep Segreti out of the playoffs again - the league does need a perennial loser, and the Loungers only have been losing for two years... Hmmm... Decisions decisions... My advice to you: somehow get he Loungers to win (they're playing the Goons) and beat me (that'll be easier). Then you can walk into the post-season with pride - only to be maliciously sodomized repeatedly by Roecker in week 14. Your fate is in your hands (50%).
